Desire for a Fight // Ella Gill (IL/SK/AT)

With Desire for a Flight, Ella Gill traces a physical struggle that emerges from a passive, hidden, and wordless place. Through shifting states of tension, resistance, trembling, and exhaustion, she navigates the boundaries between control and release, persistence and surrender. The exploration of the materiality of clothing, combined with Gill’s voice and her shifting muscle tension, becomes an essential part of the performance. Through this physical exploration, she questions which struggles are worth fighting and which are not hers to carry.

INVERSENSA // Eva Urbanová (SK/AT)

What knowledge has historically been made improper, excessive, dangerous? INVERSENSA approaches the witch from a queer-feminist perspective, reclaiming ways of sensing that have been suppressed or devalued. Through somatic disobedience and monstrous transformation, the body reworks traces of personal and collective memory. Witchcraft becomes a choreographic practice to let what has been suppressed and hidden move, take shape and open other ways of relating to and inhabiting the world.

Ella Gill (IL/SK/AT) is a Vienna-based dance artist whose physical research explores heightened muscle tone and emotional and physical intensity. She was a member of Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (2017–2020) and has since worked as a freelance dancer with choreographers including May Zarhy, Roy Assaf, Offir Yudilevich, Iyar Elezra and Rotem Weissman. From 2021 to 2022, she collaborated with Yael Sofer and Hillel Perelman on a performance with musician Zohar Shafir at Tel Aviv’s Tikva Market. She graduated from the Maslool Professional Dance Program in Tel Aviv and completed a three-year shiatsu therapy training at Tmurot College, Jaffa. In October 2026, she developed her current work through an Im_flieger CHANGING SPACES residency at netzwerkTanz Vorarlberg.

Eva Urbanová (SK/AT) is a queer Slovak-born choreographer, dancer, and performance maker based in Vienna. Their work explores transformation, sensory intelligence, and deep relationality. Urbanová’s practice extends beyond performance into somatic and collective processes, where altered states, touch, and the unruly body unsettle normativity and awaken embodied knowledge. Their background in rhythmic gymnastics forms an early physical foundation for this research: a training in precision, elasticity, endurance, and extreme bodily modulation that later evolved into an investigation of the monstrous and shape-shifting body. This bodily state of multiplicity, as it emerges, exposes the limits of the social, aesthetic, and political systems that govern contemporary bodies.
