Hello dear reader,
At this point what the presentation will be is speculative.
During the first half of my residency, I had three open gossiping dance sessions and made multiple individual invitations to other dancers to join me in the studio for moving and talking. Sometimes we had so much to say that the way forward was a gentle hands-on body work while staying in conversation, sometimes we had periods of moving in silence and periods of talking, sometimes we moved through a talking warm up. In each of these times there was a multitude of dances and stories.
For my presentation on the 15th of March, I imagine some storytelling, several dances, and perhaps a survey. Already the story of another dance I performed on the Ides of March, In like a Lion, out like a Lamb, which took place in a Brooklyn (or was it Queens?) warehouse sometime in the early 2000s, comes to mind.

Elizabeth Ward (US/AT) ist Tänzerin, Choreografin und gelegentliches Outside Eye. Sie interessiert sich dafür, wie individuelle sowie kollektive Tanzgeschichten von der Geografie und den Bewegungen von Menschen und Ideen geprägt sind. Ihre ersten Auftrittserfahrungen sammelte sie als Kind beim Atlanta Ballet. Später studierte sie Post-Modern Dance in Vermont, was sie schließlich nach New York City führte, wo sie für Downtown-Choreograph:innen wie Cathy Weis, Yvonne Meier, DD Dorvillier, Rebecca Brooks, Miguel Gutierrez, Biba Bell und Heather Kravas tanzte. In New York wurde ihre Arbeit im Danspace, beim Movement Research in der Judson Church, bei AUNTS, in der Chocolate Factory und in der Kitchen gezeigt. Seit sie nach Wien gezogen ist tanzt sie für Anne Juren, Philipp Gehmacher, Veza Fernández und Samuel Feldhandler. In Österreich wurden Elizabeth Wards Arbeiten im brut, WUK, TQW, bei den Wiener Festwochen, bei ImPulsTanz und beim steirischer herbst gezeigt.
