Im_flieger CHANGING SPACES Vienna-Vorarlberg is a national artist-in-residence exchange project for contemporary dance and performance in cooperation with netzwerkTanz Vorarlberg. In addition to working on their own artistic project, encounters and exchanges with local artists are promoted during the four-week residency in Vorarlberg. The residency is advertised for one project and one person.
Support/Conditions:
- Rehearsal space (6h/day, 60m2 and access to garden) in Dornbirn
- Presentation of the work result or an excerpt of the project of 10-15 minutes at openSpace (presentation format of netzwerkTanz) on Friday, 23.10.2026 (Kammgarn Kulturwerkstatt in Hard), incl. photo and video documentation as well as professional feedback
- Fee/material: 1500 €, allowance for presentation: 350 €
- Conducting a professional training (3 units, expense allowance: €110/unit) and a workshop with amateurs in Rankweil (fair pay fee depending on duration)
- Artistic coaching by an artist from Vorarlberg
- Accommodation in the Häusle Villa in Rankweil as part of the Artist-in-Residence program of the municipality of Rankweil
- Travel costs from Vienna to Dornbirn and back, as well as a monthly ticket for local public transport in Vorarlberg (Arrival: Thu 1.10., Departure: Sat 31.10.2026)
- Tickets for events and meeting & exchange with dance and cultural professionals from Vorarlberg
- Autumn 2026 in Vienna at Im_flieger: Rehearsal space (20h), mentoring and presentation of the work result in mid-November 2026 (Fee: 350 €) incl. photo and video documentation

Artists living in Vienna who want to develop a project in progress, a project idea or research in the field of contemporary dance/performance.
