Mads Floor Andersen (DK/AT)

has developed a performance language of recycling, risk, breaking, destruction, ruins and “reacting “* to his environment over the course of a decade. In particular, he explores the intimate relationship between body and environment and how they shape and influence each other. He is primarily concerned with the local and personal processes in which he works and lives. Thus, each work is experimental and open-ended – creating an unfolding dialog between his body and his environment. Thus, each work has its own specific constellation, while at the same time touching on social and ecological thoughts, theories and practices.
Mads Floor Andersen has presented his work internationally, e.g. at the Belfast International Festival of Performance Art (BIFPA), Macau International Performance Art Festival, 20th Open Festival of Performance Art (China), Transart Communication (Hungary), Kalkota International Performance Art Festival (KIPAF), LAPSody (Helsinki), Month of Performance Art Berlin (MPA-B), International Festival of Performance Arts Copenhagen and many others.
Parallel to his solo work, he also founded the Nomadic Arts Festival and worked as executive producer at Transart Communication 30, while being an active core member of the artist-led collective Tracing the Pathway.
