is a composer and improviser. She graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory and the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, where she studied under Clemens Gadenstätter. Her artistic work focuses on an interdisciplinary approach that combines music with movement, light, and video projections on unusual surfaces, as well as the manipulation of everyday objects that are transformed into instruments. Her works have been presented at festivals such as Ultima (Oslo), Wien Modern (Vienna), Path Festival (Verona), and MATA (New York). She works with ensembles such as Lemniscate, Pinguins, Nadar, Airborne Extended, MCME, Looptail, Zwerm, Platypus, and Curious Chamber, and collaborates with both improvisers and choreographers.
Poleukhina is the founder of “Rotating Plant – Association for Transdisciplinary Art” and curator of the concert series “Real Time Music,” which is dedicated to improvisation.
