MS, MFA, is a conflict specialist, award-winning performing artist, and author of
Changing the Conversation: The 17 Principles of Conflict Resolution (Penguin, a Joost Elffers Book).
Her work integrates traditional conflict engagement strategies with choreographic methodologies. She
creates projects ranging from individual coaching tools to large-scale participatory events that have
brought together thousands of people from diverse communities across the world– from a refugee
camp in Berlin, Germany to Lincoln Center’s Global Exchange conference in New York City.
Caspersen has been a primary collaborator of choreographer William Forsythe for 30 years, as a text
author and principal artist in Forsythe’s most celebrated works. Caspersen is a recipient of a NYDance & Performance “Bessie” Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement.
