Michael Pinsky (UK)

is a British artist whose international projects challenge the status quo in the areas of climate change, urban design and social wellbeing. He explores issues that shape and influence the use of our public space to create challenging and provocative installations in galleries and public spaces. In his combined role as artist, urban planner, activist, researcher and citizen, he begins his residencies and commissions by collaborating with local people and resources, allowing the physical, social and political environment to determine his working method. His work has been shown at: TATE Britain; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chengdu; Saatchi Gallery; Victoria and Albert Museum; Institute for Contemporary Art, London; La Villette, Paris; Rotterdam International Architectural Biennial, and many more.
Dr. Michael Pinsky is a graduate of the Royal College of Art. He has received awards from the RSA, Arts Council England, the British Council, Arts and Business and the Wellcome Trust and his exhibition Pontis was shortlisted for the prestigious Gulbenkian Museums Award. https://www.michaelpinsky.com
